Norman Finkelstein's dean has, in a leaked memo, come out against tenure for Finkelstein at DePaul, while it appears the faculty supports him. As Finkelstein was recruited for DePaul, the dean of the university has boasted about his brave stance in defending him, and DePaul, like most American Universities, has a decidedly Left-wing bent, it's difficult for me to believe that he will actually be denied tenure. Peter Kirstein, quoted defending Finkelstein in the article, is the same guy who told an Air Force Academy cadet:
