It's like a James Carroll piece only even more poorly written. New England's answer to Al Guardian, The Boston Globe, trots out their favorite lefty, Alice Rothchild, cochairwoman of Jewish Voice for Peace in Boston. In the style of Carroll, Rothchild presents a disjointed laundry list of Middle East horrors, all piled on as some sort of supposed indictment against George Bush and any Israeli with the temerity to defend themselves against Hizballah rockets, as though listing bad stuff is the same as presenting an argument. Don't seek in the pages of the Globe for explanations or prescriptions to complicated problems.
There is a positive here. Once again we see that the Jewish Community is varied and contains all sorts of voices -- even if they represent a tiny , if not negligible, constituency -- and newspapers in the West are willing to put just any sort of tripe in print for the sake of balance.
But as to substance, this is purely a zero calorie business, and that's a shame. The Middle East conflict is a mystery to most people. Wasting space on pieces that provide not a photon of illumination, and worse, cloud the issue over, ought to be a crime.

Cochairwoman indeed - I have checked, just to make sure. Bloody un-politically correct. Somebody has to launch a few katyushas at the address, yeah, where is the address?
Funny how she and so many other self-hating Jewish leftists casually forget to mention WHY Israel was in Lebanon (not only this year but when it invaded in 1982), or that Israel has been out of Gaza for quite some time now. Those inconvenient facts do not merit discussion, I guess. Then again, I guess that she thinks that Israel started this war, based on her comments in the article.
And, isn't it strange that even as the Arab world has effectively become Judenrein, the Arab states get a completely free pass on this issue? Just wondering........
When I see these wonderful responses to the many World problems...I remember Why we made Aliyah...this past August.
We have many problems in Israel as well...Jews need to fix problems with Jews...take responsibility for our own state of affairs!
The rest of the world will continue to hate Jews and be Arabists to the core...Nothing that is posted surprises me...What will everyone in the States do when the tied turns? You have 10-15 years tops! Europe is already on the way out!

Oh! By the way...We just left Boston....gave up the Globe along time ago! It is owned by the New York Times which is the newspaper of record in the U.S. Both the Globe and Times are anti semitic papers...information this fellowship must be aquainted with!
