Lebanese website blames Hizbullah for Qana deaths
'Disabled children placed inside building'
"We have it from a credible source that Hizbullah, alarmed by Siniora's plan, has concocted an incident that would help thwart the negotiations.
Knowing full well that Israel will not hesitate to bombard civilian targets, Hizbullah gunmen placed a rocket launcher on the roof in Qana and brought disabled children inside, in a bid to provoke a response by the Israeli Air Force. In this way, they were planning to take advantage of the death of innocents and curtail the negotiation initiative," the site stated.
The site's editors also claimed that not only did Hizbullah stage the event, but that it also chose Qana for a specific reason: "They used Qana because the village had already turned into a symbol for massacring innocent civilians, and so they set up 'Qana 2'." Notably, the incident has indeed been dubbed "The second Qana massacre" by the Arab media.
A translation of the page at the Lebanese site is here.

Comment Info and Policy:
1) You must have Javascript enabled in your browser in order to comment (blame the spammers). If you don't know what that is, you're probably fine.
2) HTML is on, so basic html should work. Raw links will be made auto-clickable, too, so even if you don't know html you can just paste in the link and it should work fine. Keep the "http://" in it.
3) Comments are generally unmoderated, which means I don't necessarily agree with the tone and tenor of everything posted. In fact, sometimes people post things they don't really mean just to make other people look bad. The internet is an anonymous place for the most part. That said...
4) I welcome you to post here. I'd love to have your input, agree, disagree or just offer a different data point, really. If I didn't want any participation, I'd turn off comments. Be aware, however, that this blog and the comments section exist for my entertainment. Therefore, I reserve ALL RIGHTS here, including the right to remove any or all comments on nothing more than a whim. Please don't even bother complaining. I'm the one providing the space and the free news and thought buffet. I don't owe anyone anything.
Anyone who posts here will be treated as my guest. That means I'm happy to be polite as a default, but if anyone is rude to the host they'll be unceremoniously shown the door.
It may pay to recall a famous line from the Tom Selleck magnum opus, Mr. Baseball: "Jack-san, you want Yoji's advice about the babes, you come to Yoji with respect."
5) Enjoy your stay!

This is encouraging is a black sort of way. I've been reading some of the other blogs that have brought up this issue, i.e., a staged event, but found myself wondering if I was drinking Kool-Aid. Conspiracies everywhere you look.
Even if this would be confirmed somehow, the anti-Israel forces would simply shout it down and not even mention it. Anderson Cooper, hello?
If there's any way to dive deeper and get some Lebanese people to get the word out, at least it will help in the "high road" department.
This report is explosive, but it doesn't have to be true to demonstrate that Hezbollah is indeed a fascist organization with a thirst for blood.
Given the lack of reaction to what has been revealed about the al-Durah hoax and the gross exaggerations about Jenin, I can't say as I am overly optimistic about how the media and the legion of "Blame Israelers" will respond to evidence that shows Qana to be more than a case of Hezbollah using it as a base of rocket-launching operations, but rather a completely staged massacre, but it sure is interesting to note the psychological make-up of the very people who accuse the global Jewish community in general and Israel in particular of all sorts of deception and fraud, from falsely claiming to have been victims of genocide at the hands of the Nazis, to being behind 9/11
Any information as to who the source of this story is?
I had never heard of this website before, so I visited the site just to see what they are about. I checked the Libanoscopie website and didn't find much of anything about who the site was founded by, run by or funded by, or where it is based. Under "Qui Nous Sommes," this is all that I found:
"Bienvenue sur le site de LIBANOSCOPIE. Cet espace de libre opinion est dédié à toutes les personnes intéressées par une nouvelle vision du LIBAN. Les informations que nous publions sur ce site sont le miroir de notre société. Nous agissons en inter-activité avec tous ceux qui ont une nouvelle vision de ce merveilleux pays du Cèdre. Notre espace est ouvert à tous. Notre objectif est de montrer la face civilisée du LIBAN, tellement bafouée ces dernières années."
I would hesitate to agree with their allegation that the news on their site is a mirror of their society, as it the articles that I glanced over seemed a bit one-sided to me, but I didn't examine it in detail so I'll refrain from making any judgements since I haven't read through many of the articles.
I did searches on Google but didn't find any details, and on Wikipedia in English and in French, but there was no entry.
