Oh boy, get a load of this. This one involves the Green-Rainbow Party of Massachusetts, City Councilor Chuck Turner, and Andover High School teacher Ron Francis who's on the record recruiting in the school for his hobbies.

The Green-Rainbow Party of Massachusetts is encouraging people to come out and protest the Talk, Walk and Rock for Israel event this Sunday: Protest Racist Celebration of "Israel" in Boston - Sun 6/18, 11 AM [note that the text on the page scrolls off to the right]. Take note of the fact that Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner is also encouraging people to attend and take a look at what he had to say about it according to a posting on the Green's email list [all emphasis in this and other quotations are mine]:

Green-Rainbow people please come out for this protest if you can. "Boston Celebrates Israel" (or "Talk Rock and Walk with Israel" as they are calling it this year) is possibly the largest racist hate-rally that goes on in Massachusetts. It is important for us to have a large turnout to oppose it. Mystic River Green-Rainbow Action (the Cambridge/Somerville GRP group) is an endorser of the protest. GRP member Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner spoke at the New England Committee to Defend Palestine's forum at Roxbuy Community College last Saturday, a forum that was called to encourage people to come to the protest. Chuck pointed out that Zionism is a form of white supremacy that was developed with the input of christian white supremacists in the USA in the late 19th century. Chuck went on to say that cutting the ties between the USA and Israel would be a crucial step in bringing about the downfall of worldwide white supremacy (including racism inside the USA). Opposing Israeli Apartheid in Palestine is an important issue. I hope a lot of you can come out.

You can't make this stuff up. You'll remember loony-left Turner as the City Councilor who smeared our troops by trying to pass off downloaded porno pictures as evidence of rape committed by American soldiers...resulting in the Boston Globe's printing said pictures. See here, and here (following is a quote from a Globe editorial published at the time):

THE RECENT actions of Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner were reckless and inflammatory. With no regard for truth or consequences, Turner unveiled graphic photographs at a Tuesday press conference, suggesting that the images portrayed the rape of Iraqi women by US soldiers. The display was an all-time low for a member of the City Council. Turner, now in his third term, used twisted logic to justify the photo array. While stopping short of claiming authenticity, Turner argued that "the American people have a right and responsibility to see the pictures" in light of recent revelations regarding abuse of Iraqi prisoners.

Turner's photos appear to match ones found on a pornographic website. Yesterday the Globe apologized for including a photo showing the images with the article about Turner's claims...

So now the call has gone out to the Green-Rainbow people...and guess who's pushing their participation? None other than Andover High School physics teacher and Hamas supporter, Ron Francis (see here, here, and here):

We should endorse this protest...

The "celebration" is of the ethnic cleansing and subsequent denial of refugee rights for the 5.2 Palestinians around the world who are recognized by the UN as refugees.

It's a racist event should be protested. Jewish priviledge nature of the state of Israel is apartheid (legalized racism) plain and simple and it must be ended. [I expect they'll be protesting other racist celebrations by the Italian and Japanese communities next...not. -S]

If we do endorse, let's bring the GRP banner to make our support known.

are there any concerns ???....

One concern may be from Andover parents and tax-payers who don't like the fact that Francis has been preying on their kids by recruiting them for his activities:

Hi Membership folks,

I talked with a social studies teacher at my school (Andover Public High school) and he is amenable to having students earn credits to do internships similar to what Michelle did as a community organizer.

There may be other teachers as well. I will probably try to get Michelle to make a brief presentation to the social studies class and maybe help her to enlist more students in using the "West Somerville" model that Michelle executed and refined, post-execution,

I both hope and suspect that several students will be interested... we need to find anchors....

Ron

Nice.

Recall, as I mentioned before, what's happening this Sunday is a family day -- face-painting, moonbounce...all that good stuff. The bizarre hatred these people pour out on families is pathological.

I hope a lot of you regular folks, supporters of Israel and the Jewish Community can come to the event. You don't have to be Jewish to show your support and enjoy the day. In spite of my focus on the negative here, the event is a good one for families. Bring your American and Israeli flags, march in the parade or just come to the plaza and ignore the voices of hate (who are kept at a distance and surrounded by police anyway, and can be ignored after you enter). Solomonia operatives will be taking photos and video of the bad guys so that you don't have to.

No one is better at doping out anti-Semitism and calling out Jew-haters in Massachusetts than Martin Solomon. Go read why you should stand for Israel at the Talk, Walk and Rock for Israel event this weekend in Boston. Number one Read More

Michael Graham points out that the Boston City Council has unanimously signed on to this thing: The Welcoming Massachusetts Pledge. Oddly enough, someone would like people to think that there's some sort of anti-immigrant sentiment around here. That ma... Read More

Stalin and Mao were leftists.

The problem with the center is that we readily remember Hitler, and how racist and genocidal the extreme right can become.

But we forget Stalin and Mao, and how racist and genocidal the extreme left can become.

I see very little difference between the contemporary hard left of the Green Party and International ANSWER (supported by the useful idiots in such soft left places as the Presbyterian Church) and the hard right of the 1930's.

I feel like someone wshould inform that coucilman that the white supremacists hate Zionists.

He probably insulted a lot of guys in white sheets and cone hats by saying that.

What is the 'West Somerville model' ??? That's my neighborhood, and I'd like to know what we are supposed to be 'modeling' .

Sigh.............

The West Somerville model is apparently some business of using local people to establish a base to campaign from. They must have had some success at that there.

Ah yes, Roxbury. I lived on the Roxbury border in the South End in the late 70's (City South) from where I could watch the shootings, fires, and mayhem from my high window facing the Great Blue Hills.

It was the highest crime neighborhood in the U.S. then, I believe. Blanchard's was there, a large liquor store with a small grocery dept.

That's probably the hangout where this beloved councilman's dementia started.

*heh* I weaseled my way into one of those groups in order to get serious prime footage of their insanity on Sunday. So I won't be with you all. Can't be seen with any you-know-whos till I'm done.

I guess I don't pay enough attention to local politics. I didn't realize Boston had a such a crazy City Councilor. I had forgotten about that bogus "war crimes" picture business. Thanks for posting this.

"Islam is not merely a personal religion but also the basis of a political community. If non-Muslims were entitled to the same rights as the faithful, then belief in God's final and perfect message as revealed in the Quran through his prophet Muhammad would be irrelevant, and the basis of the community would cease to exist."
