A couple of years ago crowds of Catholics started to converge in a parking lot near Boston, Quincy, I think, to see a miracle: an image of the Virgin formed by condensation between the double-paned windows of a Catholic hospital.
I felt smugly superior.
Until a story appeared about a woman in Israel who lit her Sabbath candles on the same tables every week. Behold: an image of a famously saintly rabbi appeared on the wall, limned in candle soot. People came from miles around to see the miracle.
I was like, oh-mi-gosh; Jews are as iditic as Catholics.
So, while the Virgin Mary has never appeared to me personally - and I'm not expecting her. I am more reluctant to make fun of the fools who hear a rooster saying Allah. No matter what group you are part of , there are idiots in it. You shold meet some of the fools on faculty on this highly prestigious campus.
