Meryl Yourish has a round-up: What truce?

Abbas has been unable or unwilling to do anything up until now. What will more time do for him?

"HUDNA" Any time I read or hear the word truce used in any translation of a moslem statement, I assume the word used was hudna. Hudna does not mean truce in Arabic. It means a temporary ceasefire because the Islamists don't have the forces necessary to defeat whomever they are waging jihad against. As soon as they feel they are in a better postion militarily, the hudna is cancelled. It is a military tactic, not a peace initiative.
