The IDF returned mortar fire on a mortar position in a UN-run school in Gaza today...and the arms there blew up.

JPost: 30 reported killed in blast at UN school
At least 30 people were reportedly killed and 53 wounded in an explosion in a UN-run school in the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinians. The IDF issued a statement saying the school grounds were used by terrorists to fire mortar shells at the troops. According to the IDF, among the dead were members of a Hamas launching cell, including operatives Immad Abu Askar and Hassan Abu Askar.
The infantrymen returned mortar shell fire into the school grounds, the army said. Defense officials told The Associated Press that booby-trapped bombs in the school triggered the secondary explosions which killed scores of Palestinians on the site...

An Israeli Soldier's Mother puts it into perspective.
My youngest children went to school today. Thousands of children in Israel did not. Some of their schools are protected, reinforced against missiles. That's the result of more than 8 years of ongoing missile attacks. Though my children's school isn't protected from a potential missile attack, it does have a bomb shelter; it does have a high fence circling it to prevent terrorists from entering (even more, perhaps than preventing children from straying off), and it has a guard that watches as children enter and exit.
In the last few days, the police must have decided that all this was not enough, and so they have stationed police near each of the schools, armed and watching. Our children are our lives, our most precious treasures. Whatever it takes to keep them safe, will be done. That is the message Israel has sent to its citizens...

Hmmm..Me thinks that those many who are huddling in fear as a few young men fire mortars might consider gathering up the courage to gang up on the perpetrators and make a galant effort to stop the insanity from within. Refusing to be a victim of bullies has stopped many a conflict.
There is no justification for armed men, shooting THROUGH unarmed (children) men, to kill the bad men. you find another way. You find the bad men one by one until there aren't any more. You don't kill good people to get at bad people. It makes you worse than the bad people. You are hitting wildly and killing people who don't hate you, but you will make hate you because it's all about you. You don't need to scorch the land to run out the bad people. You go in and weed them out and leave the land flourishing. Where do wars come from? They come from your own lusts. You lust and you don't have it. You ask for it but you don't get it because you want it just because you lust for it. You fight and kill and destroy for it so you can consume it in your lust. Wretched men kill and justify it in the name of greed. For what? You kill the living for the dead. The land is dead and you smile and look out and call it holy when you have a moments respite. If it is holy, it is because of all the blood that has consecrated it in the name of death.
Malestrom, the good people of Gaza should tell Israel where the bad men of Gaza are.
Just as the good Berliners told the Allies where the bad Berliners were during WW2.
The good Iraqis told the US where to find Saddam Hussein, deep in his spiderhole.
Maybe "Salaam Now", the grassroots Arab/Muslim peace group will demonstrate and tell the World where the Kassam rocket factories are, where the rocket crews are, where the advanced rockets smuggled throught tunnels into Gaza are.

Bullies and nazis who wanted to elimintate the Jews are Islamists and pan-Arabists in this case. They were very open in 1948 and 1967 about their goals.
They are still very open about their goals, just go to any islamo-nazi demonstration and hear them shout
"Palestine from river to sea" or "Kill the Jews" or go and watch video clips on Memri TV.
The whole story with so called 'occupation' is like holding the hands of a bully for 40 years preventing them from hitting us.

Though it is really shocking to see those disturbing footage.but is it not that Hamas really entend to show those footage to gain symphaty from all of us? this a war started by them.they self inflict those pains and hardship.for what reason?to mislead all of us!its obvious...
they often used the name of the almigthy,pray 5 times or more a day,but look at thier actions.storing bombs,guns in the house of god!mislead others by preaching or asking everybody to hate,hurt,kill those non-believers.they used children,women and all that they can think of regardless of thier status and origin just to gain what? freedom? from where? from who? after israel,who's next then?the world?
Resistance Fighting. Israel is resisting Islamofascism, the Islamofascism spelled out in the Hamas Charter of 1988, same year when Pan Am 103 was bombed.
I would even call it Islamo-Nazism. Nazism is genocidal, Fascism is not.
And it is not only hamas.

More bad news, Marty Peretz today has noted the UNHRC is convening an emergency session.
Whether it's the deceits stemming from the UNRWA, the tergiversations stemming from the UNHRC, the UN's sundry sexual scandals in the field, the financial scandals as reflected most prominently in the oil-for-bribes malpractice, what an Orwellian institution the U.N. has evolved into - and virtually all of it taking place while the MSM turns a blind eye and provides unassumming cover.
Two warring factions, fighting over dirt, property, dust and stones. And taking everything that stands between them down in a scorched earth. No regard for women, children or babies who are NOT Hammas. It's like shooting through the men ahead of you to kill the enemy. You people just don't get it do you? There is nothing on this earth that is worth more, equal to or even close to a human life. People treat their pets better because they have such disdain for humans. How can you love a God whom you have never seen, if you can't love your brother whom you have? He who says he loves God and hates his brother is a liar, and the truth is not in them.
This doesn't look to me like Hamma's getting it's wish. That's a misnomer. This looks to me like throw out the baby with the bath water. Blow up the house to kill the roaches.
