Truly, the religion with Allâh is Islâm. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, then surely, Allâh is Swift in calling to account.

So briefly.

1) Islam borrowed from the west but the west didnt borrow from islam.

First of all he wants to say that prophet mohammed borrowed his religeon from them, which was proofed on all basis wrong.

secondly, let him understand that their history , (not the vikings )here I am referring to Europe which he is part of only because of the Union,, didnt develope in the way he thinks ( from the roman era to the Renaissance there was a knowladge gap {dark ages)

so europeanse didnt wake up of their beds to face the Renaissance era,

rather technology and knowladge needs continuity and progression and that was carried on in the Islamic empire when europe was in the dark ages.....when europeanse where proud to have arabic as second language and translate books )

but as god says those days are circulated between people.

2) Islam was a colonist religeon.

In our religeon its not allowed to kill a women, child, destroy a house , tree,.......force someone to turn to islam (except if the soldier turns to islam he is not killed, or he is imprisoned ..... or freed to be a teacher)

we didnt have a holocaust, nucleour bombs, gettos, burning whiches, and recently (Confronting Power and Sex in the Catholic Church) which is in the 4 print

3) We have nothing in common. The idea of a "shared monotheism" is false. Christianity and Judaism are NOT like Islam.

Actually, this is wrong, excpet if he believes in darwinism.....or multiple gods......
because there is one god...all religeons are to him...but the got changed through time...even budism and paganism.

while the writer on the other hand began with an introduction that showed his aims (political), and believe it or not, he doesn't care about europe.

this is not islamophpobia...this is what will lead eurpe to the dark ages agian.
