Wow. Hillary Clinton canceled her scheduled appearance at an anti-Iranian nuke rally to be held this Monday at the UN when she learned Sarah Palin would also be appearing. In fact, the press release is still titled "Media Advisory: Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin and Senator Hillary Clinton to Speak Monday at NYC Rally to Stop Iran Now". The NY Sun reports: Clinton Cancels Iran Protest Appearance After Palin Invite

Senator Clinton has canceled an appearance at a New York rally next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting the Republican vice presidential candidate, Governor Palin, aides to the senator said yesterday.

Several American Jewish groups plan a major rally outside the United Nations on September 22 to protest against President Ahmadinejad of Iran.

Organizers said yesterday that both Mrs. Clinton, who nearly won the Democratic nomination for president, and Palin, Republican candidate John McCain's running mate, are expected to attend...

...Clinton aides were furious. They first learned of the plan to have both Ms. Clinton and Mrs. Palin appear when informed by reporters.

"Her attendance was news to us, and this was never billed to us as a partisan political event," a Clinton spokesman, Philippe Reines, said. "Senator Clinton will therefore not be attending."...

Don't you usually call that a "bi-partisan" event? I guess now we know how deep Hillary's concern for Iranian nukes really is -- skin deep. As soon as she learned that Sarah Palin would be there, she was out the door. Thanks for nothing. I get the feeling she reacted worse to this news than she would have had she heard that Monica would be there making a speech. Nothing, absolutely nothing, trumps cynical selfish partisan politics on Planet Clinton. Not even Iranian nukes.

Maybe Amy Poehler will fill in.

Your link to the story is to the New York Sun, NOT the New York Post.

The NY Sun is a VERY GOOD paper, correct side on the issues, but I heard that it will be closing soon - end of September.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_York_Sun

"In a letter to readers published on the front page of the September 4, 2008 edition, Lipsky announced that the paper would "cease publication at the end of September unless we succeed in our efforts to find additional financial backing."

Corrected. That's too bad about the future of the paper. My understanding is that it has run at a loss to a relatively small but influential audience for some time.

This says something important about the depth of concern Clinton "really has" in regards to the Iranian mullahs getting there hands on a nuke. So they can use it against Israel, create a catastrophic event that will bring up the hidden imam from that well he's supposed to be hidding in.

What, is the Hillster afraid to happen to agree with Sarah Palin on something? Afraid of being cast as a right-wing nut-job for standing up against the fascist, mullacratic dictators in their evil quest for total world domination.1

Nappy will bet you a beer that the real reason Hillary canceled is party discipline. She doesn't want to deviate from the party line and break with the Dhimmicrats' policy of appeasement. Even not so loony lefties Jim Braude and Margery Eagan on WTKK basically said "You go, girl" when Hillary pulled out. The thought that she might be seen to be aligned with evangelical crazies or used by them to was apparently too much to take.

Does the sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits really believe Hillary puts her party ahead of her personal ambitions? We understand how she's been lukewarm in how she campaigns for Obama. More than mailing it in, but not so solidly behind him as to remove doubts she's scheming for 2012. So how does this move help the Clintons and their plan for total world domination?

1. Ahmadinejad is a side show; it would be a mistake to focus on the freaks and miss the show under the big top. Nappy believes the Islamic Republic's President is deliberately so outrageous because it deflects our attention from his puppet-masters.

Eagan and Braude agreed with her pulling out? I'm surprised, actually.

To be a fly on the wall of the discussions resulting in Clinton pulling out.

Not good, but not surprising either. It's too big and too critical an issue to allow partisanship to get in the way of unity when it comes to this issue. Also, Hillary could have prefaced each one of her rhetorical salvos with a "we don't agree on much, but we can agree ...," etc. Hillary has already suffered one major defeat this election cycle, so I can't help but wonder if she's not feeling frayed and if some ego is not involved in the decision. Even so though, it represents a bit of an abdication on Hillary's part and to some extent, perhaps, on the part of Dems in general.

I'm very sad that Hilary Clinton has decided to act so bitterly. I feel deep down, that the democractic party has been threatening her constantly. Her own party warned her that if she didn't listen to their every work and help Obama win and be a good sport, then they won't back her when she wants to run for President again. She honestly hates Obama. She is actually good friends with John McCain.

In any event, the statement up above about the Jewish and abortion and the environment is nuts. I hate when all these pro choice people get nuts and go crazy over nothing. The constitution protects Roe vs. Wade. Any law professor will tell any of these pro choice nut jobs the President can't change anything.

Lastly, I love how most people don't even know who is responsible for all the mess. Its the Congress and the Senate. They are to blame for doing absolutely nothing. (with the exception of a few). These damm congressmen and woman spend too much time as guests on CNN. They need to work on their primary jobs.

We take it by your Topic Line that Palin IS the hate mongering natzi who is reaching new heights. Is that correct? Hillary is very justified to cancel because anyone going near Palin gets the stink of racist all over them. But, must admit she is the best dressed white supremist since Eva Braun.

spottedbluedoggrel, the nazitional socialist is the "african liberation" racist michelle obamaton and the Trinity United Of Hate church.

Do you really believe that your Obamessiah NEVER heard his pastor, his "spiritual adviser" of 20 years, spew hate against America?

If Obamessiah is telling the truth,

then Obamessiah is too DUMB to be President,

or Obamessiah is LYING.

Shall we speak of Obamessiahs running mate, the Dumber than a 5th Grader Joe The Dumber Biden?

"What looked like secularization was merely a veneer laid over a society that had been proudly Muslim for over a millenium. Moreover, the ostensible engine of Arab modernization -- Arab nationalism -- was little more than an elevated tribal covenant."
