She was a student at MIT and...Brandeis. She was a member of the local Muslim Student Association among other things, and came on our radar screen a year ago. Miss Kelly reports: Aafia Siddiqui in Custody in Afghanistan

A former Bostonian who was on the FBI's "Most Wanted List" and "People Wanted for Questioning" is being held in custody in Afghanistan. It's not yet known who is holding her of where her three children are. People who follow the actions of  Islamic radicals in Boston have heard of Aafia Siddiqui, a former MIT and Brandeis student, and mother of three.  Siddiqui was the subject of a Vogue magazine feature article in March 2005, written by Deborah Scroggins, who's currently writing a book on women and the war on terrorism.  More on Siddiqui at Wikipedia here and from a 2004 article in the Pakistan Daily Times here...

The Boston Globe reports here and includes this picture of the Karachi, Pakistan branch of the Aafia Siddiqui fan club:

Miss Kelly has more detail here.

Update: She's been extradited to the US. Yes, Yvonne Ridley is involved.

I think that's Yvonne Ridley there, cream colored niqab on the left.

#1 miss kelly:

I think that's Yvonne Ridley there, cream colored niqab on the left.
(If so, that's really far Left.)

Good eyes -- yours, not the cream-colored-niqab's. If you can make her out from this picture, maybe they should let that woman in Florida pose for her driver's license photo in her niqab or burqa.

So the paki police sold this woman to the US regime for a bounty and they made up a lot of "evidence" about her during the course of the five years they've imprisoned her. Her lawyers say she's been getting raped and tortured at Baghram Airforce base for five years. Now they put her on trial to keep up the "war on terror". Al Qaeda itself was made up by FBI prosecutors to prosecute Bin Laden under RICO statutes. Bin Laden took advantage of this and, with the help of his oil money (and ours most likely) put himself in business. Watch this trial fall apart for lack of evidence. If they had evidence they would've put her on trial and not hold her prisoner for five years. People who support this "war on terror" support torture and oppression, just as surely as patronizing the Chinese Olympics. War and hypocrisy are disgusting, still more those who practice them.

Yes- Pakistanis can sell their mothers for bounty and the Head Pimp is Musharraf. Well Done! Musharraf keep it up. We need more of your sisters and daughters. Pimp Musharraf. LOL :D

Musharraf greedy for money turned over the 3 children and this young Girl and collected $80,000.

Great job and for years this girl and her children were kept in in prison without any warrants is enough to tell the world that its all a cover up a pseudo blame game.

These are the things Bush and Musharraf will be remembered for.

Why were the three children taken? What were they planning. This is the first case were a one year old infant has been kept is a secret US prison.

We may find out that the one year old also tried to shoot a US guard.

"Arab nationalism is secular in the sense that it does not derive its political legitimacy from divine revelation, but it is an absolutism nonetheless, enshrining the idea of the eternal and the unchanging not in an omnipotent creator but in the nation."
