Filmed by Judith Weiss
Concept, driving and narration by Steve Dzik
Backseat driving by Mary Madigan
During his trip to Israel last year, when the nation was celebrating its 59th birthday, Steve came up with the idea of filming the drive across the entire width of Israel from the West Bank wall to the Mediterranean Sea.
The drive took less than twenty minutes, about the time it takes the average American to commute to work. This demonstrates how small and vulnerable Israel is.
This really does graphically illustrate Israel's vulnerability, far more so than any news report or documentary I've ever seen.
It only makes me wonder why the Arabs didn't succeed in overrunning Israel a long time ago, even with Israel's army. Could it be that Jordan and Egypt really don't want that to happen? After seeing this video, I cannot help but think of Israel's existence as hanging by a thread.
"Syme: It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words. You wouldn't have seen the [Newspeak] Dictionary 10th edition, would you Smith? It's that thick. [illustrates thickness with fingers] The 11th Edition will be that [narrows fingers] thick. Winston Smith: So, The Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect? Syme: The secret is to move from translation, to direct thought, to automatic response. No need for self-discipline. Language coming from here [the larynx], not from here
[the brain]" -1984 (film)

Very cool, and welcome back.
Thanks! Steve was glad to see that there were more people viewing the video today, probably sent from Solomonia.
It really only did take about 20 minutes, with traffic lights and everything
