That's my trouble, I need to start blogging against Israel, then I could get the free helicopter ride. I could live without the meeting with Erekat, though. And sponsored by something called "The Solomon Project" no less...

I got a free helicopter ride when I was over there, and I like Israel (many, many thanks to Richard Landes and the Israel Project!) I think they only invited mostly people who didn't know that much about Israel (the goys). But they take random journalists and politicians up all the time.
One, more worrying trend - a lot of 'peace' organizations are sponsoring 'meet Hezbollah and see beautiful downtown damascus' tours. I know two or three different lefties who are thinking of going on these tours. I can't wait to hear what they say about them...
Being "left wing" or "progressive" does not mean being anti-Israel.
It shouldn't. But if you read the articles that concern is clearly why these bloggers were invited.
David, sorry to wake you from your daydream, but read "Progressive" Jewish Thought and the New Anti-Semitism by Alvin H. Rosenfeld.

Or check out norman finkelstain rants or the BBC Comment Is Free website or the dailykos or the socialist workers party website.
Guess what David, despite what you think you see, the Emperor is NAKED.
Here's a simple question David,
does Israel have the right to exist as a Jewish Nation
as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Qatar, Syria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Iraq, iran have the right to exist as Muslim nations
and England exists as a Church of England nation?
Having read Daily Kos and MyDD before, they hardly seem "anti-Israel" in my estimation. These are two of the bogs mentioned in the post.
Eddie, there are certinly people/blogs who identfy themselves as left-wing or progressive who may have views that others see as "anti-Israel".
Since my comment wasn't related to anything other than the post about the helicopter trip, I don't see how your question relates.
My point was and still is that left-wing or progressive (by definition) does not mean anti-Israel.
