JPost: Radical Arab MKs: What would Abraham Lincoln do? - '...So, should Arab MKs receive the Vallandigham treatment, exile to a country they apparently love and support more than the one they represent? If we ask, "What would Lincoln do?" we have our answer, but we have no Lincolns among us today.'

abraham lincolen would choose uganda as a homeland instead of choosing the middle east and critisizing islam and arabs.

If I am american, linking this great man to israel in anyway would be an insult.

The BIGGEST insult to islam is all the islamofascist terrorists, murderers, thieves, pirates, assassins, named some variant of the name "muhammed".

For sure the government of Israel should respond to the anti-Israel actions of these Arab MKs. If they are taking part in a a plot to bring about the end of Israel they ought to be put on trial and let the courts decide what to do with them. For sure the Knesset h deliberate about this matter of some in the Arab minority in Israel acting seditiously. The situation as it is is quite insufferable.

arabian, your insults only illustrate to those readers who are not familiar with you thus far just what kind of intelligence and sentiments inform your positions. And frankly, I can't imagine too many being impressed either by you or your kind of opinion. In fact you have no opinion, only animus born out of the way your religion and culture have educated you to think about others, who are not like you.

While most of the world has already progressed beyond racist and tribal attitudes, Arabs are still fantasizing they are living in times when they ruled the world, if that time ever existed anyway. People look at you and wonder how almost an entire population of hundreds of millions can be taught the kind of contempt you express here. They see you as an example of the Arab street and its rulers. And they are all gaining better understanding of what makes Arabs tick, so to speak which is hatred and a wounded sense of unacknowledged superiority.

"What is wrong with Arab societies? Why are they unable to install democratic governments? These are the questions addressed by the British journalist Brian Whitaker in his book "What's Really Wrong with the Middle East". His answer (available in English), according to the reviewer James M. Dorsey, is that not only the governments but also the societies themselves are repressive. "To describe this phenomenon, Whitaker draws on Palestinian-American historian Hisham Sharabi's theory of neo-patriarichism. In a controversial book published in the 1980s that is still banned in many Arab countries, Sharabi says Arab society is built around the 'dominance of the father (patriarch), the centre around which the national as well as the natural family are organized. Thus between ruler and ruled, between father and child, there exist only vertical relations: in both settings the paternal will is absolute will, mediated in both the society and the family by a forced consensus based on ritual and coercion.' That is to say, Arab regimes have franchised repression so that society, the oppressed, participates in their repression and denial of rights. The regime is in effect the father of all fathers at the top of the pyramid."
