This is just a quick link to follow -- an "aside." These are links to interesting things that, for one reason or another, I didn't place into a full posting. Go to the blog index for a regular listing of posts.
Michael Sharnoff: Palestinian 'Right of Return' Is Not 'Inalienable' - '...the Arab League has kept the refugee issue alive as a means to maintain a state of war against Israel and to avoid recognizing the Jewish state. These states also use the refugee problem to deflect anger from their own people away from grievances of failed economies and repressive societies. It is cruel and unfair to encourage five million Palestinians to maintain the belief that they are refugees in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. The “right of return” is a fantasy. Until Abbas and other Palestinians acknowledge this simple fact, peace will continue to be elusive.'

Comment Info and Policy:
1) You must have Javascript enabled in your browser in order to comment (blame the spammers). If you don't know what that is, you're probably fine.
2) HTML is on, so basic html should work. Raw links will be made auto-clickable, too, so even if you don't know html you can just paste in the link and it should work fine. Keep the "http://" in it.
3) Comments are generally unmoderated, which means I don't necessarily agree with the tone and tenor of everything posted. In fact, sometimes people post things they don't really mean just to make other people look bad. The internet is an anonymous place for the most part. That said...
4) I welcome you to post here. I'd love to have your input, agree, disagree or just offer a different data point, really. If I didn't want any participation, I'd turn off comments. Be aware, however, that this blog and the comments section exist for my entertainment. Therefore, I reserve ALL RIGHTS here, including the right to remove any or all comments on nothing more than a whim. Please don't even bother complaining. I'm the one providing the space and the free news and thought buffet. I don't owe anyone anything.
Anyone who posts here will be treated as my guest. That means I'm happy to be polite as a default, but if anyone is rude to the host they'll be unceremoniously shown the door.
It may pay to recall a famous line from the Tom Selleck magnum opus, Mr. Baseball: "Jack-san, you want Yoji's advice about the babes, you come to Yoji with respect."
5) Enjoy your stay!

Folks like to deny reality, as it often undermines their agenda
As everyone knows, Jordan is "palestine".
And the so-called "palestinians" even have a King and Queen - King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan.
Understanding the concept of “right of return.”
There is a disingenuous sleight of hand about the entire concept of “right of return.” Palestinians, the broader Arab world, and their supporters who have asserted this “right” have invoked, in particular, UN General Assembly resolution 194, passed in December, 1948, in the wake of the Arab-initiated 1947-48 war. The resolution states, among its other provisions, “refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbors should be permitted to do so…” But the central provision of 194 is its call for creation of a Conciliation Commission and “establishment of contact between the parties themselves and the Commission at the earliest possible date… to seek agreement by negotiations [and thereby reach] a final settlement of all questions between them.” How did occur the “refugee problem” : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/03/big-arab-lie-part-i.html
