At last, a putative Jewish group more deranged (but less dangerous) than J Street rears its ugly head in Britain.  Kudos to Richard Millett [in a must-read posting] who turned over the rock at the University of London to expose the International Jewish Anti Zionist NetworkThe "Hate That Dared Not Speak its Name" is now in full view and full of pride.  In a similar fashion to our attempt at filming (the "transparent") goings on at Harvard Law School at the occasion of Christine Chinkin, the Goldstone Report commissioner's talk, the theo-fascists of London tried to stop Richard from filming:

Note that the speaker, Uri Davis, is described as a "Muslim of Jewish origin". I assume that he recited the shahada and voila! became a Muslim. We all know how apostasy from Islam is treated.

J Street has resisted the temptation to welcome groups like this into its big tent.  Among these "beyond the fringe" groups we find QUIT Palestine ("Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism"), Queers Against Israel Apartheid and my favorite, Jews for Allah:

They even offer selected verses from the Quran-in Yiddish! Oy Vay! (How do you say, "Jews turned into Apes and Swine" in Yiddish?)

I corresponded with a representative of QUIT Palestine! and pointed out that all of their members would be welcomed in Gaza with torture and the hangman's noose while Israel is one of the safest places on earth for homosexuals. I received no reply.

Jewish Voice for Peace  will probably be ushered into J Street's tent eventually, but for now, its pro BDS stance along with the "one-none-state-solution" keeps it out in the cold for Ben Ami.

My experience at J Street's national conference in October of last year revealed a wide level of support for JVP among the attendees, but they were reluctant to publicly voice their approval.

Given the current hysteria over the Gaza Flotilla event in spite of the exculpatory video evidence in Israel's favor, the lunatic fringe appears to be growing. Reality is becoming a scarce commodity.
