Not directly Goldstone, but so closely related it belongs: Sophia already linked to Human Rights Watch founder Robert Bernstein's New York Times op-ed taking his own organization to task, but really, the significance of this can't be understated: Rights Watchdog, Lost in the Mideast. Bernstein confirms EXACTLY what so many of us have been saying for so long and, considering the source, it can't be ignored.
Melanie Phillips comments on Bernstein's piece: How 'human rights' have turned into inhuman wrongs = "Is the 'human rights' worm finally beginning to turn?..."
Richard Landes does a friendly fisking: HRW's Founder denounces the organization's obsession with Israel.
Back to Goldstone. Harold Evans, writing at The Guardian(!): A moral atrocity, Judge Goldstone has been suckered into letting war criminals use his name to pillory Israel - "Aren't the British sickened by the moral confusions of their government? First, we have the weasel words to justify the unjustifiable release of the Lockerbie bomber. Now we have the sickening spectacle of Britain failing to stand by Israel, the only democracy with an independent judiciary in the entire region..."
Elder of Ziyon notes: Islamic Jihad al-Quds Brigades endorses Goldstone - "...Terrorists really seem to be enamored of this report and of the "human rights" organizations that have pushed it..." As well they should. Embarrassing.
Elder also continues digging in to the details of the report: Goldstone report problems, part 21. Shawan Jabarin of the NGO Al-Haq? Senior member of terror group PFLP? Just another reliable witness for Judge Goldstone.
David Harris writes at The Huffington Post(!) about the entity that gave Goldstone his gas: UN Human Wrongs Council.
Jonathan Schanzer notes that being President is officially hard: Goldstone Report Marks Another Obama Failure.
John Bolton, rock star: Israel, the U.S. and the Goldstone Report, Joining the U.N. Human Rights Council was a mistake Obama should correct.
Richard Goldstone appeared in the JPost the other day and lied right out of the box: My mission - and motivation - "Five weeks after the release of the Report of the Fact Finding Mission on Gaza, there has been no attempt by any of its critics to come to grips with its substance..." If you've been paying attention, you know just how much of a lie that is.
Richard Landes takes him to the tool shed: Goldstone spins to the uninformed in the JPost
Alan Baker is flabbergasted: Just what did Goldstone expect?
CAMERA says Goldstone is Pulling a Carter.
Meryl Yourish says: Richard Goldstone: Liar, liar, pants on fire.
The Australian editorializes: A poisonous outcome, The Goldstone report has damaged the UN's credibility
Honest Reporting: Exposed: Goldstone & the UN Farce, Even Judge Goldstone opposes the UN Human Rights Council's anti-Israel resolution.

1) You must have Javascript enabled in your browser in order to comment (blame the spammers). If you don't know what that is, you're probably fine.
2) HTML is on, so basic html should work. Raw links will be made auto-clickable, too, so even if you don't know html you can just paste in the link and it should work fine. Keep the "http://" in it.
3) Comments are generally unmoderated, which means I don't necessarily agree with the tone and tenor of everything posted. In fact, sometimes people post things they don't really mean just to make other people look bad. The internet is an anonymous place for the most part. That said...
4) I welcome you to post here. I'd love to have your input, agree, disagree or just offer a different data point, really. If I didn't want any participation, I'd turn off comments. Be aware, however, that this blog and the comments section exist for my entertainment. Therefore, I reserve ALL RIGHTS here, including the right to remove any or all comments on nothing more than a whim. Please don't even bother complaining. It may pay to recall a famous line from the Tom Selleck magnum opus, Mr. Baseball: "Jack-san, you want Yoji's advice about the babes, you come to Yoji with respect."
5) Enjoy your stay!

i prefer to think of those "friendly fiskings" as whiskings -- amplifying the points rather than taking them apart. :-)
