It has been decided: Top Palestinian officials rule Israel to blame for Arafat death

Top Fatah officials on Thursday ruled that Israel was to blame for the death of former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

Officials on the third day of the Fatah convention in Bethlehem accepted the proposal, put forth by the chairman of the Araft Institute, stating that Israel had been behind the "assassination" of the late Palestinian Authority Chairman.

The second clause of the proposal, following the blame on Israel, called for leaving the investigation into Arafat's death open. The third clause affirmed Fatah's request for international aid to probe the issue...

Oooh...don't say "probe" and Arafat in the same sentence ifyouknowwhatimean... In subsequent resolutions they voted themselves kings of the world, masters of the universe, 50 billion American dollars in small, unmarked bills, the deed to Tel Aviv, a nuclear weapon and candy, lots of candy.

Oh, that is rich...

Sol, you don't mind if I edit that press release a bit, do you?

Top Fatah officials on Thursday ruled that Israel was to blame for the death of former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

In subsequent rulings, Fatah determined that Israel was also responsible for the common cold, the tyranny of mothers-in-law, tooth decay, and the little wrinkles you get in your fingertips when you stay in the water too long.

Officials on the third day of the Fatah convention in Bethlehem accepted the proposal, put forth by the chairman of the Arafat Institute, stating that Israel had been behind the "assassination" of the late Palestinian Authority Chairman.

"After trying to kill our beloved leader for decades -- with assassination attempts that were so subtle that they were never detected -- the Zionists finally succeeded, by the diabolical stratagem of turning a sick old man into a sicker old man", said a unnamed source, who asked to be unattributed for fear of Palestinian authorities criticizing him and shaking their fingers at him before grinding him into dog meat.

The second clause of the proposal, following the blame on Israel, called for leaving the investigation into Arafat's death open. (According to yet another unnamed source, leaving the investigation open provides many employment opportunities for idle Palestinians, in addition to lots of press conferences denouncing Israel, which are both useful and fun.)

The third clause affirmed Fatah's request for international aid to probe the issue. "Allah forbid we should solve our own problems with our own money", a source said, adding that the international aid would be needed for the aforementioned employment opportunities. "Besides", the source said further, "President Abbas needs new silk draperies in his second Ramallah villa, and the gold-plated faucet handles could use replacing. His hundreds of personal bodyguards have also been asking for pearl-handled grips on their AK47s, and he's running out of excuses to give them."

arafat died from bad meat in the can.

That's probably the "Arafat" Institute, rather than the "Araft" Institute, in the excerpt and the original in Haaretz. An institute named after Arafat ..., a think tank?!?! Good grief.

So much of this could be fodder for a bad sitcom or animated cartoon if it were not true, if it were not taking place in the real world and being passed off as something chin-pullers and talking-heads and tranzi and NGO types need to ponder. Further, that's not hyperbole, that perspective actually has warrant - which fact itself is a proof-positive indicator that the ideologues and "realist" types (they call themselves realists!) have waaaay too much influence. Of course, Arafat was awarded the Nobel, for "peace," ...

The power of illusion and delusion should never be underestimated.

The only person happier than opponents of Islamofascism upon hearing of the death of yassir arafat

was yassirs beard, former First Lady of paleSWINE Suha arafat - who doesn't live with her people, but in Paris on a multi-million dollar pension.

"Arab nationalism is secular in the sense that it does not derive its political legitimacy from divine revelation, but it is an absolutism nonetheless, enshrining the idea of the eternal and the unchanging not in an omnipotent creator but in the nation."
