Once the nanny state gives, it can be dangerous to disappoint expectations: Insurance agency staff facing more threats
The number of threats against employees of the Swedish Social Insurance Office (Försäkringskassan) is growing, according to the authority's head of security, Berit Sjödin.
"This is totally unacceptable," Sjödin told Sveriges Radio (SR).
She said the growing number of threats might be connected to increasingly stringent rules governing the country's social insurance benefits.
Social Insurance Office staff have faced threats of violence against themselves as well as suicide. A third of the 181 incidents reported so far this year have involved an individual who has threatened to harm him- or herself...

Thanks for that Spengler article, but he has it somewhat wrong, the American Right was willing to fight both Cold War and the Vietnam war....it was the American Left that couldnt destingish better evil and good....and saw America as evil for fighting evil. Even after the US left Vietnam and the mass murder and crimes against humanity that ensued in IndoChina and Southeast Asia, they still stuck with the America is evil, and declined to accept reality, that America although imperfect is a hell of a lot better than Socialist Utopias. The Perfect is the Enemy of the Good. The Left has continued to sabotage the US and the Good, and support that which is evil in its fight with the US and its allies.
The problem isnt necessarily with secularism (though that is certainly a problem) its with Leftism....(as opposed to the liberal-left and American Conservatives). The liberal-left gets it....though they dont seem to be able to do what is necessary(preferring purity of morality over the necessity to defeat the agents of totalitarian oppression-the Left-Islamist alliance). Many of them will support doing what is necessary over there in foreign wars, but they dont have the stomach to do what is necessary closer to home. Which is a sad, sad state of affairs for the Entirety of the Western Left....a weak liberal Left and domination of the Anti Western Left allying with militant totalitarian mass murderers against the Western since Stalin.
