I dont now why americans are the most country whining about oil prices . when most of the gas price in their country goes to the government. some countries inclding america make as much money as producing countries from "taxes".

and poor countries that have people die every day they dont whine.

at least war costs will increase and we wont see american armies invading countries anymore.

Arabian, keep your farking islam away from us. Then there's no problem. Capisce, paisano?

Most of our involvement in the Middle East has been centered around protecting our Saudi allies. We've wasted trillions of dollars, thousands of American lives and most of our honor and intelligence on this idiotic effort.

Our government wasted this time and money because they thought the Saudis had enough oil to open up those prodigious pumps and save us when the supply got too low. Imagine our government's shock when they found out that the Sauds couldn't do that. We've wasted all of this time and money on these guys and they give us jack.

Personally, I was more offended by Saudi support of 9/11, the thousands of Americans Saudis murdered and their support of al Qaeda all these years, but this oil thing really has Americans riled up. Go figure.

Since Saudis don't have the oil we need, since Saudis are hated by most of the Muslim world, since they only have the friends they buy (and their tulipmania bubble is about to burst) Saudis are in some very big trouble.

With oil closing at $142 per barrel, and probably higher, the market is ready for alternative energy.

The US should drill in Alaska (while minimizing damage to the environment).

T. Boone Pickens is investing in alternative energy.

The time is ripe to put an end to arab blackmail of the ENTIRE WORLD.

Rich nations.

Poor nations.

All are forced to pay $142 per barrel while islamofascists spread their wahaabist, jihadist, intifada, hijackings, beheadings, honor killing, genital mutilation, plane bombing, islamo-supremacist death cult in Eurabia, south Asia and creeping into the US.

With respect to all your opinions, but facts stay facts, I believe in that we can have hundreds of opinions but only one fact, and the fact is that america is by least means centered in the regian because of saudia. you can choose between Iraq and israel, and on both cases american tax payers are loosing billions..., and for no rational reasons..!

The World is losing trillions paying for overpriced $142 per barrel oil.

but only one fact, and the fact is that america is by least means centered in the regian because of saudia

When our government claims that our relationship with the KSA is thicker than oil, they're lying. (yeah, they can lie too)

When old King Fahd passed away, the headlines in the states read "Fahd death lifts crude". This film was very apt because that's how we see Sauds - oily little gas dispensers.

When they stop dispensing gushers of oil and gas, when the oil supply is insufficient, these oily little nozzles become useless.

We get most of our oil from the Western Hemisphere. We should be paying more attention to our useful allies.

1) You must have Javascript enabled in your browser in order to comment (blame the spammers). If you don't know what that is, you're probably fine.

2) HTML is on, so basic html should work. Raw links will be made auto-clickable, too, so even if you don't know html you can just paste in the link and it should work fine. Keep the "http://" in it.

3) Comments are generally unmoderated, which means I don't necessarily agree with the tone and tenor of everything posted. In fact, sometimes people post things they don't really mean just to make other people look bad. The internet is an anonymous place for the most part. That said...

It may pay to recall a famous line from the Tom Selleck magnum opus, Mr. Baseball: "Jack-san, you want Yoji's advice about the babes, you come to Yoji with respect."

5) Enjoy your stay!

"What looked like secularization was merely a veneer laid over a society that had been proudly Muslim for over a millenium. Moreover, the ostensible engine of Arab modernization -- Arab nationalism -- was little more than an elevated tribal covenant."
