Boris Johnson poised to become London Mayor as Tories seal local election success
Senior Conservative sources said they would be "gobsmacked" if Mr Johnson did not win the mayoral contest and even Downing Street aides appear to have conceded that Ken Livingstone has lost. Confidence of a Tory win was boosted after one bookmaker announced it was paying out on a Boris Johnson victory hours before the official result is expected later this evening.
Paddy Power said the "mauling" Labour had received elsewhere in England and Wales suggested the Conservative candidate was on his way to City Hall.

Good to see him go. Maybe there is hope for England yet, although they may be too far down the road. Number 3 son is scheduled for deployment to a USAF base outside London in September. I was hoping Red Ken would be gone before my son got there, but the number of active terrorist suspects and supporting groups under investigation leaves me in doubt about the future of England. The virus seems to be spreading faster than the authorities can handle.
the funny thing is, old boris johnson is descended from a turk as well as other upper class twit heritage. but of course this doesn't immunise him from charges of "islamophobia" and "racism". i don't think boris will make a great mayor, but i'm sure he'll be better than the jew-hating, terror-appeasing moron london's been saddled with until now!
