This is the home of a terrorist leader (AP photo) in what some of the press has described as the Khan Younis "refugee camp."

Pretty nice digs for a "desperate" Islamic Jihad terrorist eh?

Whoever built that Terrorist McMansion didn't use a level.

It reminds me of the old TV show Batman. Whenever they showed you the evil doers in their lair, everything was tilted on an angle.

You probably know this already, but to clarify for everyone: "refugee camp" is a bureaucratic designation for areas administered by the UN, and not the PA, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon or whoever else is the local sovereign power.

The media love to use the term because it conveys images of penniless refugees in tents (and most of the people in them do have pretty wretched lives, although not in tents) but there are plenty of well-off residents and nice homes inside the UN boundaries.

Never mind the bad politics, violence, and fundamentalist religion.

There is yet another serious problem that Palestinian leaders have: bad taste.

Look at that McMansion. How ugly! Yuck! Hamas should be denied power on aesthetic grounds alone. OK, that's silly. But, still, I can't help thinking along those lines when I look at that photo.

I've also noted the AP's use of the term "militants" whereas Solomon says "terrorist." I've seen the word "militants" commonly used in the New York Times, and I think elsewhere. I guess that's the conventional word these days in the MSM.

And, yes, the term "refugee camp" does get quite a bit of a stretch when it includes McMansions.

Wow. It's a hideous building that was built without a decent foundation or a level - but, great shot.

Maybe the "mansion" was built with the generous funds provided by European taxpayers.
