What did I tell you? Communist dictatorship, dabbling with Capitalism = do not take internally: Suspicious toothpaste is ordered off shelves, Antifreeze product may be in tubes from China
State and federal authorities said they have no proof that anyone has been poisoned by toothpaste contaminated with diethylene glycol, a substance that Chinese manufacturers have used as a cheap substitute for the sweetener glycerin. Still, state authorities said, they ordered local health agencies to scour store shelves for potentially tainted toothpaste, knowing that long-term exposure to diethylene glycol may cause kidney and liver problems.
"Suffice to say, this chemical is not allowed in toothpaste in the United States, and we obviously feel it's unhealthy," said Tom Lyons , a Department of Public Health spokesman.
Deaths in Panama, Haiti, and China have been blamed on diethylene glycol found in pharmaceutical products such as cough syrups. The risk posed by tainted toothpaste is believed to be low, FDA representatives have said, because the amount of diethylene glycol in toothpaste would be small, and people generally spit toothpaste out, rather than swallowing it...

The Chinese steal all our military technology and still we buy all their products. American companies continue to outsource our high-tech jobs to both India and China while China, India and most of the rest of the world continue to steal our technology while at the same time and still our government does nothing or says nothing. Soon, Ford the auto maker will have 100% of their manufacturing moved to Mexico like GMC pretty much already does and still we will buy their products while at the same time the Mexican government will steal our technology. But hey, at least a few individuals will get rich and that’s all that is important isn’t it? So what if another 200,000 Americans will lose their jobs to foreign nationals this year, at least we can buy cheap toothpaste made in China with slave labor or computers from Japan with American technology or better yet play our video games many that are now designed in India by Indian software engineers, at least Bill Gates and others like him get richer? Am I missing something or is it that most of us are too lazy to get off our arm chairs and do something about it? Soon all of us will be buying our food products from Mexico and believe me, I’ve seen how they grow their produce down there and it isn’t pretty; can you say pesticides in triplicate?
