Jennifer Rubin: J Street at it again: Attacking efforts to defend Israel

Jennifer Rubin: J Street at it again: Attacking efforts to defend Israel – ‘In a busy week, not much attention was paid to a letter organized by Rep. Steve Rothman (D-N.J.) and Rep. Steve Austria (R-Ohio) calling on President Obama to take stern steps to halt Palestinian incitement to violence in the wake of the […]

The Muslim Terrorist War against Israeli Families

Shalhevet Pass

The brutal murders of the Fogel family, including the beheading of a 3 month old baby, the stabbing a 3 year old twice in the heart, and the murder of both their parents, along with an 11 year old brother who was staying up late reading in bed, have shocked the world. But the Muslim […]

Larry Derfner: The Palestinian Victim Mentality

Larry Derfner: The Palestinian Victim Mentality – ‘…because they don’t have the courage to take responsibility for anything any of them has ever done to any Israeli, things they genuinely despise, such as the murder of children, are liable to happen. Until Palestinians acknowledge the savage streak in their society – even if only to […]

Jeff Jacoby: Massacre of the innocents

Jeff Jacoby: Massacre of the innocents – ‘…Human goodness is not hard-wired. It takes sustained effort and healthy values to produce good people; in the absence of those values, cruelty and intolerance are far more likely to flourish. For years the Palestinian Authority has demonized Israelis and Jews as enemies to be destroyed, vermin to […]

Noah Pollak: The Palestinian Authority, Still Celebrating Terrorism

Noah Pollak: The Palestinian Authority, Still Celebrating Terrorism – ‘Palestinian officials such as Mahmoud Abbas have put on a convincing show of disgust over the murder of the Fogel family in Itamar. Today Abbas said that the attack was a “despicable act” that was “inhuman and immoral.” But are these genuinely felt statements and accurate […]

Why Palestinian Terror Attacks Ensure There Will Be No Peace

While the Itamar massacre of the Fogel family–an Israeli couple and three of their young children–is only one in a long chain of such terrorist attacks and murders, it points to a major issues that U.S. policy has never addressed and which poses as much–and arguably more–threat to the possibility of peace than do settlements. […]

Three Lessons from Itamar

2002 Itamar terrorists honored on PA TV

The murder of five members of the Fogel family is so chilling that it is beyond words to describe — at least, it’s beyond me. Try to put yourself in the place of 12-year old Tamar Fogel entering the house and finding her parents and three younger siblings, including 3-month old Hadas, dead in pools […]

A Palestinian Authority video TV tribute to “Martyrs” three weeks ago included the terrorist who killed three Israelis in a 2002 terror attack in the West Bank town of Itamar. Itamar was the scene of Friday’s terror attack, in which Ruth and Udi Fogel and their three children were murdered. The video was in honor […]

Ramallah Dispatch: Public Square named after “Martyr”

martyr

While in Ramallah on Thursday I noticed a public square which seemed dedicated to someone with a terrorist affiliation, and took this photo of the sign marking the site. Sure enough, a friend who’s fluent in Arabic confirmed that the sign (in a prominent retail district) says:

You Can Believe That PA Television has Banned Anti-Israel Incitement…As Long as You Never Watch It

The genuinely (relatively) moderate Palestinian Daoud Kuttab wrote an op-ed in The New York Times that beautifully shows the kind of thing Israel and Israelis and those friendly to Israel have to deal with daily. He wrote: “Palestine television, which falls under the president’s [Mahmoud Abbas's] powers, was totally revamped and cleaned of anti-Israeli incitement.” […]

Guardian Columnists’ Continued Dehumanisation of Israelis

What a newspaper does not report can be just as revealing as what it does. Back in May 2010 CiF rushed to report the arrest of two Arab Israelis suspected of espionage, allowing Ben White to make wild claims that “Israel seeks to silence dissent” and “repressive practices long used in the West Bank and […]

Guardian Readers’ Editor Defends Decision to Publish Letter Justifying Suicide Bombing

Chris Elliott, the Guardian’s Readers’ Editor, responded today to criticism that his paper chose to publish a letter from “eminent” philosopher Ted Honderich defending Palestinian terrorism against Israeli civilians. As we noted, here, Honderich’s apologia for suicide bombing was quite explicit. He said: Palestinians have a moral right to their terrorism within historic Palestine [presumably […]

The Middle East: Where the Ridiculous is Mainstream and Nonsense Kills

In the nothing is too ridiculous category, al-Safir, the left-wing, Syrian-backed, pro-Hizballah newspaper, that the New York Times is now using as a reliable source on Lebanese politics, has a scoop. According to the newspaper, an Israeli security agent paid a Palestinian $3000 to put a poison pill in a Palestinian’s coffee in order to […]
