Egypt

Just a note that I’m obviously not posting updates and commentary on events in Egypt, though of course I’m watching closely like everyone else. There’s too much going on, too many angles to address, too much unknown, and too many other places providing up to the minute coverage to even start. I’ve spent much of the past eight years commenting on issues surrounding freedom and history in the Middle East. This is a moment where we all sit, watch, and take notes without talking too much. Obviously we wish all of our friends (and we have many friends [update: Well, apparently I’ve been unfollowed on twitter, but at least we were friends.]) good luck and Godspeed. Stay safe.
