JTA: Lantos widow 'deeply disappointed' by Robinson honor - 'The late Rep. Tom Lantos (D-Calif.) and an article he wrote about the failings of the Durban conference has been frequently quoted in the last two weeks by those advocating against the awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Now Lantos' wife, Annette, has released a statement on the Robinson honor, saying she is "deeply disappointed by the decision to honor former Commissioner Robinson in this manner" but also feels that "this provides a good opportunity to reflect on the failures of Durban."
